Rapacan 1mg Tablet is an immunosuppressant drug that contains Sirolimus as its active ingredient. It is used to prevent organ rejection in individuals who have undergone a kidney transplant, typically in conjunction with other medications. After an organ transplant, the immune system may attempt to reject the new organ. This medication helps regulate the immune response, allowing the body to accept the transplanted organ.
Additionally, it is used to treat a rare lung condition known as S-LAM (sporadic lymphangioleiomyomatosis), with shortness of breath being the most prevalent symptom. Prior to starting this medication, it is essential to consult your physician if you have liver issues, sugar intolerance, a family history of skin cancer, high cholesterol, or other medical conditions. Rapacan 1mg Tablet is not advised for adolescents and children under the age of 18.
While on this medication, it is important to avoid consuming grapefruit juice and eating grapefruits. Limit your sun exposure during treatment. When going outdoors, apply a high SPF sunscreen and wear protective clothing. Live vaccines should be avoided while using Rapacan 1mg Tablet. Additionally, effective birth control should be utilized during treatment and for at least twelve months following the last dose.
