This medication is primarily used to treat individuals who have recently been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer that predominantly affects specific white blood cells known as plasma cells. These cells proliferate uncontrollably and accumulate in the bone marrow, leading to damage in the bones and kidneys. Additionally, it is prescribed for the management of moderate to severe new lesions associated with leprosy, a chronic condition that impacts the skin and nerves, caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium leprae.

Common side effects linked to Thalimax 100mg Capsule may include drowsiness, headaches, dizziness, skin rashes, pain, fatigue, constipation, nausea, impotence, decreased appetite, fever, and depression. It is important to notify your doctor if these side effects are bothersome or persist.

If you have an allergy to Thalimax 100mg Capsule or any of its components, inform your healthcare provider. Additionally, notify your doctor if you have a history of blood clots, heart attacks, neuropathy (pain in the extremities due to nerve damage), slow heart rate, fluctuations in blood pressure, liver or kidney issues, or viral infections such as HIV, hepatitis B, or varicella zoster. Your physician will assess thyroid function before and during your treatment with this medication. If you suspect you are pregnant, experience irregular menstrual cycles, miss a period, notice changes in menstrual bleeding, or have unprotected sexual intercourse, discontinue Thalimax 100mg Capsule and seek medical advice immediately. This medication is not advised for individuals under 18 years of age.
