Abhope 50mg injection comprises the active ingredient Liposomal Amphotericin B. It functions as an antifungal antibiotic. This medication is utilized for the treatment of fungal infections affecting one or more deep-seated organs in the body. Additionally, it is employed to address suspected fungal infections in patients exhibiting elevated temperatures and neutropenia (a decrease in white blood cell count). Furthermore, it is indicated for the treatment of visceral leishmaniasis, a disease caused by a parasite in certain individuals.

Prior to commencing your initial treatment, your healthcare provider may administer a small dose of Abhope 50mg injection to assess for any allergic reactions. Avoid receiving this injection if you have a known allergy to amphotericin B or any other components of the medication. Notify your physician if you experience a severe allergic reaction, have kidney or liver issues, or are undergoing dialysis. Additionally, inform your doctor if you have low potassium levels.

This medication contains sugar in each vial; therefore, inform your doctor if you have diabetes. It is also important to notify your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before starting the treatment. The most frequently observed side effects of Abhope 50mg injection include skin rash, low potassium levels, diarrhea, anemia, insomnia, and shortness of breath.
