Berirab P 300 IU Injection contains the active ingredient Human Rabies Immunoglobulin (HRIG). It is used to prevent passive, transient rabies infection following exposure to a rabid animal (such as dogs, mongooses, jackals, and foxes). This injection is derived from blood plasma collected from screened donors.

Rabies infection occurs when a person is bitten, scratched, or licked by an infected animal, particularly if the skin is already compromised. Rabies is a serious and frequently fatal viral illness that can lead to severe neurological symptoms, including fever, headache, muscle weakness, and paralysis.
