Doxific Injection is part of a class of medications known as tetracycline antibiotics, which are utilized to treat various bacterial infections, including urinary tract infections, intestinal infections, respiratory infections, eye infections, skin infections, sexually transmitted infections (such as gonorrhoea and syphilis), and gum infections (periodontitis). Additionally, Doxific Injection may be employed to treat or prevent anthrax.

Doxific Injection contains ‘Doxycycline’, which inhibits bacterial growth by blocking the production of essential proteins required for their survival. Consequently, Doxific Injection aids in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is classified as a broad-spectrum antibiotic, effective against both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.

Doxific Injection will be administered by a healthcare professional; self-administration is not advised. In certain instances, Doxific Injection may lead to pain, itching, swelling, or redness at the injection site, as well as nausea, vomiting, or diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not necessitate medical intervention and typically resolve on their own over time. However, please consult your doctor if these side effects become bothersome.

Avoid taking Doxific Injection if you have an allergy to any of its components. Consult your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The use of Doxific Injection during tooth development (the latter half of pregnancy, infancy, and in children under 8 years) may result in teeth discoloration (yellow-grey-brown).
