Fondared 7.5 Injection is classified as an anticoagulant (blood thinner) and is primarily utilized to prevent or treat deep vein thrombosis (blood clots in the leg veins), pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lungs), heart attacks, and severe angina. Additionally, it lowers the risk of blood clots following orthopedic surgeries (such as hip or knee operations) or abdominal surgeries. Fondared 7.5 Injection also inhibits blood clot formation during and shortly after periods of limited movement due to an acute illness. Deep vein thrombosis refers to a medical condition where blood clots develop in the deep veins, typically in the legs. Pulmonary embolism occurs when a blood clot obstructs the arteries in the lungs.
Fondared 7.5 Injection contains ‘Fondaparinux sodium,’ which functions by blocking the action of clotting factors (natural substances in the blood responsible for clotting). This action prevents the transformation of fibrinogen into fibrin (a protein that binds platelets together to form a clot), thereby aiding in the prevention of blood clot formation. It facilitates blood flow through the veins, reducing the likelihood of developing a serious blood clot.
Administration of Fondared 7.5 Injection will be carried out by a qualified healthcare professional; therefore, self-administration is not advised. Some individuals may experience unusual bleeding, anemia (a reduced number of red blood cells), bruising, or swelling. Most of these side effects associated with Fondared 7.5 Injection do not necessitate medical intervention and typically resolve on their own over time. However, if these side effects persist or worsen, it is important to consult your doctor.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is recommended to seek medical advice before using Fondared 7.5 Injection. This medication is not advised for children under 17 years of age. Caution should be exercised when administering Fondared 7.5 Injection to elderly patients over 60, as they may have a higher risk of bleeding. If you have a stomach ulcer, kidney or liver issues, high blood pressure, or bleeding disorders, please inform your doctor prior to receiving Fondared 7.5 Injection. If you are scheduled for surgery, make sure to notify your doctor about any medications you are taking.
