VORIHOPE TABLET

Vorihope 200mg tablet is an antifungal medication that contains Voriconazole as its active ingredient. It is classified as a fungal ergosterol synthesis inhibitor. This drug is prescribed for severe, life-threatening fungal infections and is also used as a preventive measure for individuals at high risk, such as those who have undergone bone marrow transplantation. This medication is not suitable for children under the age of 2.

Do not use this medication if you are allergic to Voriconazole or any other components. Prior to taking Vorihope 200mg tablet, it is essential to inform your doctor if you have experienced an allergic reaction to other azole medications, have liver disease or a history of it, or suffer from cardiomyopathy, irregular heartbeat, slow heart rate, or a condition known as ‘long QTc syndrome’ as indicated on an electrocardiogram (ECG). Furthermore, it is vital to avoid sunlight and sun exposure during the course of treatment, ensuring skin protection through clothing and high-SPF sunscreen. Children must also adhere to these precautions. Common side effects may include fever, rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, swelling of the limbs, abdominal pain, and difficulty breathing.

While taking Vorihope 200mg tablet, it is important to promptly notify your doctor if you experience sunburn, severe skin rash or blisters, bone pain, symptoms of adrenal insufficiency (such as chronic fatigue, muscle weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss, and abdominal pain), or signs of Cushing’s syndrome (including weight gain, fatty hump, rounded face, darkened skin, thinning skin, easy bruising, elevated blood sugar, excessive hair growth, and excessive sweating). Additionally, inform your doctor if you have a known intolerance to certain sugars before starting this medication, as it contains lactose.
