Duphaston is also employed as hormone replacement therapy for postmenopausal women, especially when estrogen therapy alone is not advisable. It is often used in conjunction with other medications during assisted reproductive techniques, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), to aid in embryo implantation. In certain instances of threatened miscarriage, it may be prescribed to help sustain the pregnancy.
