SUCROBIND TABLET

Sucrobind Tablet contains the active ingredient sucroferric oxyhydroxide. It is categorized as a phosphate binder. This medication is used to treat hyperphosphatemia in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) who are undergoing dialysis. Hyperphosphatemia is defined by elevated phosphate levels in the blood, which is a frequent complication of CKD. This medication includes iron, which can be advantageous for individuals with CKD who frequently suffer from iron deficiency anemia. By providing iron and binding phosphate, it helps to alleviate iron deficiency and promote the production of red blood cells.

You should avoid taking Sucrobind Tablet if you have an allergy to it or any of its components. Allergic reactions can vary from mild to severe and may manifest as symptoms like rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or trouble breathing. Patients with disorders of iron overload, such as hemochromatosis, or those receiving high doses of intravenous iron therapy should use Sucrobind Tablet with caution. The safety and efficacy of this medication in pediatric patients have not been thoroughly researched, and its use in this demographic has not been confirmed.
