Plamumab 40mg Injection contains Adalimumab as its active ingredient. This medication is classified as an antirheumatic agent and falls under the category of TNF (tumor necrosis factor) inhibitors. It can be administered alone or in conjunction with other drugs to alleviate symptoms associated with specific autoimmune disorders. It is prescribed for rheumatoid arthritis, a condition where the body attacks its joints, leading to pain, swelling, and functional impairment, as well as for polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis, which affects children and results in joint pain, swelling, functional loss, and potential delays in growth and development.
Additionally, it is indicated for the treatment of enthesitis-related arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, a condition characterized by the body attacking the spine and other joints, causing pain and damage, axial spondyloarthritis without radiographic evidence of ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, which leads to joint pain, swelling, and skin scaling, plaque psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, a skin condition that results in pimple-like bumps in areas such as the armpits, groin, and anal region, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, which causes inflammation and sores in the colon and rectum, and non-infectious uveitis, which involves swelling and inflammation in various parts of the eye.
Plamumab 40mg Injection should not be used if you are allergic to adalimumab or any other components of this medication. It is contraindicated in individuals with active tuberculosis or other serious infections. This medicine should not be taken if you have moderate to severe heart failure. Prior to starting treatment, inform your healthcare provider of any active infections. Additionally, disclose any history of lung issues, heart diseases, or liver or kidney disorders to your doctor before beginning treatment. If you are pregnant, suspect you may be pregnant, or are planning to conceive, consult your physician for guidance regarding the use of this medication.
